Western Health Rebrand
& Awareness Campaign

HOW WE SOLVED IT

  • We developed a refreshed brand identity rooted in the company’s unique promise and personality — clarifying what makes Western Health Advantage different. New branding included a new logo, color palette, fonts and more.

  • Created a campaign framework that was grounded in the research. It communicates brand promises across channels (print, outdoor, place-based digital, and video) to build recognition and connection.

🏅 The out-of-home campaign won Silver at the 2025 American Advertising Awards, Sacramento

THE PROBLEM

  • Western Health Advantage operates in a highly-competitive market with many similar players, making it difficult for the brand to stand out.

  • Its existing identity lacked a clear, differentiated promise and visual voice that connected emotionally with both employers and individual members.

  • Awareness of the brand was low, and the branding felt generic rather than distinctively positioned.

  • Research showed that our messaging needed to highlight both affordability and quality of care, while recognizing that healthcare is personal and people want local, simple, and reliable plans that offer value and peace of mind.

The Branding

The logo's shapes and colors draw inspiration from the vibrant hues of the sprawling Sacramento Valley, paying tribute to the natural beauty that defines the landscapes Western Health's members call home.

The campaign

The resulting campaign is vibrant with a dynamic energy that highlights the individuality of Western Health's members. It showcases how Western Health personalizes its approach, offering tailored care that resonates with the individuality of each person it serves.

When choosing a health care plan, people want to know they’re getting something that works for them.

The coverage WHA provides is flexible enough to meet even the most unique people’s unique healthcare needs.  This campaign celebrates the variety and individuality of the people that Western Health serves, and how their health plans don’t just provide coverage, but an advantage.
